Privacy Policy

Protecting the security and privacy of personal information as well as preventing the unauthorized disclosure of personal information is a top priority for A.B. Data, Ltd. (“A.B. Data”). We conduct our business in compliance with applicable laws and regulations on data privacy protection and security. A.B. Data’s company privacy policy strictly prohibits the unlawful disclosure of Social Security numbers or other personal information.

The Information We Collect

A.B. Data collects non-public personally-identifiable information including your name, e-mail, mailing address, phone number and other personal information (“Private Information”). In some circumstances, the case may require A.B. Data to ask for you to provide financial or other Private Information that we need in order to process your claim.

Children’s Policy

If you are a child under the age of 13, please do not use this Settlement Website (“Site”) or provide any information to A.B. Data.

A.B. Data does not knowingly collect Private Information regarding children under the age of 13 without the permission of their legal guardian or parent. Any Private Information that is received regarding a child under the age of 13 will be deleted from our systems when we become aware that such Private Information was provided without the permission of his or her legal guardian or parent.

How We May Use Private Information

Any Private Information provided to A.B. Data is used only to the extent necessary to complete the claims administration process or as set forth below under the “For legal reasons” sub- heading. We may use Private Information to communicate with you when responding to inquiries or providing updates regarding the settlement.

A.B. Data does not use any Private Information collected for marketing purposes or any purposes other than claims administration or as set forth below under the “For legal reasons” sub-heading.

Information We Share

We do not share Private Information with companies, organizations and individuals outside of A.B. Data unless one of the following circumstances applies:

• For external processing

We provide Private Information to our affiliates or other trusted businesses or persons to process it for us, based on our instructions and in compliance with our privacy policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

• For legal reasons

We will share Private Information with third parties if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

  • meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process, court order or
    enforceable governmental request;
  • enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations;
  • detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; and/or
  • protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of A.B. Data, our users or the public as
    required or permitted by law

and we shall have the right to use Private Information in connection with any of the foregoing items.

Cookies

A cookie is a small coded file on your hard drive to keep track of the pages you have visited. They can only be read by the site that sent them to you and they cannot search anything else on your computer. We may receive data sent by your browser or as a result of the Site’s use of cookies. Data takes precautions to protect your Private Information, we cannot ensure the confidentiality or security of and are not responsible for the confidentiality or security of the information you transmit over the internet or other global computer networks. We shall have no liability for disclosures of Private Information due to errors in transmission or unauthorized acts of third parties.

GDPR

A new European Union law, called the General Data Protection Regulation or “GDPR” gives certain rights to individuals in relation to their personal data. As available and except as limited under applicable law, EU residents have the rights described below.

Access your personal data

The right to be informed of and request access to the personal data A.B. Data processes about you.

Update your personal data

The right to request that A.B. Data amend or update your personal data where it is inaccurate or incomplete.

Restrict the use of your personal data

The right to request that A.B. Data temporarily or permanently stops processing all or some of your personal data.

Object to the use of your personal data

The right to object to A.B. Data processing your personal data where we no longer have a legitimate or legal need to process it.

Object to direct marketing

The right to object to your personal data being processed for direct marketing purposes.

Object to automated decision making

The right to not be subject to a decision based solely on automated decision making, including profiling, where the decision would have a legal effect on you or produce a similarly significant effect.

Port your personal data

The right to request a copy of your personal data in a machine readable format and the right to transmit that personal data for use in another party’s service.

Erase your personal data

The right to request that A.B. Data deletes your personal data.

Changes to This Policy

A.B. Data reserves the right to update the terms of this Privacy Policy at anytime. If a change is made, the “Last Modified” date located at the bottom of this policy will be updated to reflect the amendment. Visitors to the Site are advised to check periodically for changes.
